Prof. Kwaku Atuahene-Gima

Founder, President & Executive Dean, Distinguished Professor of Innovation Management & Marketing at Nobel International Business School (NIBS) & Number 2 innovation management scholar in the world

Prof. Kwaku Atuahene-Gima formerly Professor of Innovation Management & Marketing at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS); Founding Executive Director of CEIBS Africa Campus; and Founding Director of the Centre for Marketing & Innovation funded by Dow Chemical. He is ranked the Number 2 innovation management scholar in the world; among the Top 10 doctoral marketing faculty in the world; and as number 1 scientist in Ghana based on number of Google citations by the European Commission. He has received awards for contributions to innovation, technology and marketing knowledge from the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Product Development and Management.

Association, USA and ANBAR Electronic Intelligence. He was adjudged the Best Professor in Innovation and Marketing at Asia’s Best Business Schools Awards by CMO in Singapore. He is a member of the International Speakers Academy, an international body of speakers sought after by companies.

He has worked with companies and organizations in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria and several other countries to improve innovation and marketing strategy outcomes and with government agencies in China, Hong Kong, Portugal and Russia on government innovation. He is currently a member of the International Expert Panel for the Russian Science Foundation (RSF). He is a product of Acherensua Secondary School; Mfantsipim School, University of Ghana (where he served as President of Commonwealth Hall), University of New South Wales and University of Wollongong, both in Australia.

H.E Sidique Abou-Bakarr Wai

Republic of Sierra Leone Ambassador to U.S.A, Former Advisor to the Executive, New York Police Department

His Excellency Sidique Abou-Bakarr Wai assumed duty as Republic of Sierra Leone’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America on February 12th, 2019. He presented his letters of Credence to President Donald J. Trump on April 8th, 2019.

For over twenty years, Ambassador Sidique Abou-Bakarr Wai has been discharging several high-profile leadership responsibilities in the United States of America (U.S.A.) in spheres of diplomacy, public safety, public health care advocacy, community relations, and social empowerment. He is likewise the former President of the United African Congress and Community Affairs Analyst and former adviser to the Executives of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) headquartered in New York City. The United African Congress is the Pan African umbrella organization that represents the interests of 3.5 million continental African immigrants residing in America. On the other hand, the NYPD is among the largest police law enforcement in the country with approximately 40,000 uniformed members of service and 25,000 civilians. As a latest addition to this portfolio, Ambassador Wai was recently appointed by His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio, as the Republic of Sierra Leone Ambassador-Designate to the United States of America.

Hon. Samia Nkrumah

Daughter of Dr Kwame Nkrumah and former Chairperson of the CPP

Samia Yaba Christina Nkrumah is a Ghanaian politician, a former Member of Parliament and a former chairperson of the Convention People's Party. The daughter of the first president of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah. Samia attended Achimota School and later proceeded to the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London in the United Kingdom, where she obtained the degree of Bachelor Arabic Studies in 1991. She also completed a Master's degree at the same institution in 1993.

Kwesi Abease

Mr Kwesi Abeasi is the Managing Director /Chief Executive of the African Business Roundtable. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). Mr. Abeasi worked with Volta Aluminium Company, Mobil Oil Ghana Limited, and the Agricultural Development Bank, ADB.

He is well known more for his pioneering role in advocacy for the private sector, having established and become the first Director General of the Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF). Mr. Kwasi Abeasi holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, and an MBA in Operations Management and Marketing from Syracuse University in the USA. He has also benefited from a Management Training program at the Havard Business School.

Professor Akilagkpa Sawyer

Former Council of State Chairman & Vice Chancellor of Univ. of Ghana

Akilagpa Sawyerr is the Head of Laryea, Laryea and Company, established 1982. He is a Ghanaian jurist and practitioner, who studied at the University of Durham (LL.B), the University of London (LL.M) and the University of California, Berkeley (LL.M and JSD), and was called to the Bar in England (Lincoln's Inn) (1963), Ghana (1963), and Papua New Guinea (1979).

Professor Sawyerr taught law, with specialization in International Trade and Investments, at the University of East Africa, the University of Papua New Guinea, and the University of Ghana, where he ended his academic career as Vice-Chancellor. He served as Secretary General of the Association of African Universities, retiring in 2008.

He has held high public office in Ghana, as the Founding Chairman of the Minerals Commission, Member of the Council of State and Chairman of the Volta River Authority, the leading energy generating company in Ghana. He is President of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences and currently leads a technical team charged with reviewing the legal regime governing mining in Ghana and re-negotiating existing stability agreements in the sector to bring them in line with the new scheme.

Mr. Kwame Sefa Kayi

Multiple award winning journalist

Kwami Sefa Kayi who is also known as Chairman General comes from Ho – Bankoe in the Volta region. Kwami Sefa Kayi is married with three children; two girls and a boy. He had his Senior Secondary Education at Okuapeman Secondary School and furthered his education, holds a G.C.E., O and A- Level Courses in Broadcasting and Media Studies, Certificate in Public Relations, Advertising & Marketing all from the Institute of Journalism, and a Certificate in Advance communication from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

His life has not turned out as he expected as a youngster because his youth ambition was to be an Army officer, "Because he thinks it is the most courageous and humble thing to do in life". Kwami joined a drama group at Ghana Broadcasting Corporation where he later got his first lesson in Radio Journalism. Living a day at a time, the multiple award winner, who loves to read and play tennis as his hobbies, is a Christian whose favorite book is the Bible. He is also interested in anything by Bob Marley. He is the host of the popular morning show on Peace FM called the “Kokrokoo” and he has the ability to affect millions of lives positively.

Kwami Sefa is still achieving the proudest. Mr. Kayi’s favorite team is the Hearts of Oak, Kpando Hearts of Lions and Chelsea FC. Kwami over the years have improved in his carrier and thus won the admiration of many in and outside the country and even joked about how he has moved on from the local tro-tro transport to his mother’s place at Okponglo, to now driving a Mercedes Benz.
